Fruity Tootie Tuesday

Well as the title suggests,
it's a fruity tootie Tuesday.
With chocolate.
Worship me later when you actually make and or have the pleasure to try.
My sister actually gave me the idea for this recipe.
If you conquered the pumpkin bread recipe, this very similar, but not.
Aanndd it's healthy because there is fruit in it... DUH!

Butttt first-
check out Karla's blog for not only a great DIY project,
but a great way to plan for weekly dinners and SAVE MONEY!
Dan and I will definitely be attempting her great and fun ideas.

Ok back to the awesome recipe of the day:
Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Yes, just keel over in happiness right now!

What You'll Need:
1. 1 1/4 Cup all-purpose flour
2. 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
3. 1 Teaspoon baking powder
4. 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda
5. 1/2 Teaspoon salt
6. 1/2 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
7. 3 large, super ripe Bananas
8. 1 Teaspoon pure vanilla extract
9. 2 eggs
10. 1/2 Cup butter
11. Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 Degrees F

The Process to Awesomeness:
Let me begin by saying- YOU ARE GOING TO USE EVERYYY BOWL IN  YOUR HOUSE.
There are reasons, but it will seem quite ridiculous at the time.
Just be prepared.

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Heat butter in the microwave, in a safe bowl, for about a minute until it's fully melted.

Put butter aside, just stir occasionally, DON'T let it solidify.
Peel the bananas, and put in a large bowl.

With a masher, or in my case- a fork, mash bananas.
Word of advice, use a masher if you have one, it was quite difficult with a fork and I'm sure I gained at least 2 pounds of muscle in my arm.
Add vanilla to bananas and mix.

Beat the eggs in a small separate bowl- once beaten add to the bananas.

Grease loaf pan, generously! You will be grateful that you put a crapola ton amount when you try to get it out when it's cool.
Gradually pour in melted butter into the banana mixture, making sure to stir the entire time.
*Make sure the butter is room temperature or luke warm, hot butter will start the cooking process of the eggs and that's NO BUENO.
Add the flour mixture to the liquid mixture, and HAND stir.
The batter is going to bumpy, do NOT mix too much, just enough for the flour to be all gone!

Once the mixtures are together, add your chocolate chips... I added a lot cause we love our chocolate.

Pour into loaf pan and sprinkle some chocolate chips on top (my little addition).

Bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean!

Cool in pan for a while, it's better to let it sit than push it out too early.
Once ready, invert pan and let the loaf drop into your other hand.
TA-DA!!!
See not so bad :)
Have fun doing the dishes, but first...
enjoy that delish tasting bread with FRUIT in it
and healthiness.

*Note: the reason it looks like I have so much batter is because I made two loaves and doubled everything.

So we have dessert, but what did we have for dinner??
Spaghetti and Dan had meatballs!

I'm not a meatball fan unless they are grams.

There you go ladies and gentle-men.

See you on hump day!

Night.
